If you were anywhere near downtown Atlanta Thursday afternoon you may have caught a glimpse of the runaway zebra.  It escaped from the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus!

It got out during rush hour traffic which is totally crazy.  For Friday’s Radio Free Lunch we are going to play songs for the runaway zebra.  There are already a few hilarious suggestions on my Facebook page.  Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

The glamourous Johnny Weir inspired Wednesday’s Radio Free Lunch.  His routine to the tune of “Poker Face” is a perfect way to tie in our show (yes, it’s the second time we’ve posted this segment this week.  I’m obsessed) . 

If you were going to skate to a Dave-FM song, what would it be?  I’d go with “Bittersweet Symphony” or “Bohemian Rhapsody”.  OK GO also inspired skaters to use their song for a routine.  Good, but not as great as Poker Face.

In honor of the 134th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show going on now (Best In Show is tonight) Radio Free Lunch is for the dogs.  We’ll play songs that describe things dogs do (Digging In The Dirt, I Touch Myself ).

John Mayer has gotten SO much heat for last week’s Playboy interview.  Meanwhile, why is anyone even giving a s**t?  It’s an INTERVIEW, who cares?  Annnnnyway—TMZ reports today that a portion of his Q and A got the attention of Porn company giant Vivid Entertainment.  When Mayer said that he’d love to write porn, they were thrilled and offered him a job.  Here’s an opportunity to come up with a John Mayer song name and turn it into a porn movie name.  Your Body Is A Wonderland is too easy….

The forecasters got it wrong for metro Atlanta.  It’s snowing instead of raining. Since most of us spent the weekend with the snow and lot of people (kids!) have the day off today, the idea for Radio Free Lunch is simple.  Suggest songs that describe what you do (or did) on this weekend’s snow day and today’s rain day.

We are stuck inside due to incredibly icy roads in our neighborhood.  And if you live in Atlanta—duh!  Because of this the “Skate For Haiti” has been postponed (see below post). Last night we stayed in and watched the BORING opening ceremonies.  I couldn’t even stay up for the USA team to walk by (but GO ELANA MEYERS!!).  We did happen to see the god awful remake of “We Are The World”.  I don’t know if I’m just getting old or it was just BAD (don’t get me wrong, great cause and definitely donate) BUT…it’s a train wreck. Judge for yourself!

Friday night is opening ceremonies for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.  This is the first time in history that this winter event is taking place indoors (interesting!).  In honor of this Friday’s Radio Free Lunch will have an international feel.  Think China Girl, London Calling, etc. etc.
